Like the Forest Preserve? You'll love Night Heron: Night Heron was one of the first communities to be developed at Sea Pines. Shortly after it was established the founders decided to set aside a vast portion of the resort as a forest preserve. The area they selected was adjacent to Night Heron and as a result the homes here are now virtually part of the 605-acre Sea Pines Forest Preserve. The density of trees and shrubbery also provide natural air conditioning on those hot summer days. You'll feel as one with nature as you enjoy a beverage on the beautiful wrap around porch and watch the dappled sun fade into darkness, while listening to the teeming wildlife in your back yard lagoon. There is also a private, fresh-water, community swimming pool within a hundred yards of the front door.

Sea Pines Golf is Legendary: Hilton Head Island is thirteen miles long and boasts twenty-nine golf courses. Among this dazzling array of choices, The Sea Pines Resort is the most prestigious and well known. It is home to the world famous "Harbour Town Golf Links", rated #1 in South Carolina, and among the nation's top 100. Harbour Town, with its famous lighthouse towering over the eighteenth green, has hosted the Heritage Golf Tournament for the past 36 years. A challenge for the likes of Nicklaus, Palmer, and Norman it is but one of three exceptional courses within the resort. You can also experience the new "Heron Point" redesign by Pete Dye with its challenging greens, and emphasis on strategy. Our home is located in the middle of the most desirable mile. The nearest public access (Forest Beach at Coligny Circle) is over a mile to the north. The nearest hotel is a mile to the south. In between those two points the majority of homes are single-family units. The multi-story villas and apartments available for rent are adjacent to Forest Beach. What all of this means is that very few people have easy access to the long, wide and beautiful section of beach in front of Night Heron.

You will appreciate the privacy and available space to put your beach chair and relax. And it is only a seven-minute walk (2/10 mile) on your private path to the dunes.
